The road to the JUNO Awards has been paved by a bevy of Canadian electronic music artists.
The Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences has announced nominations for the 52nd annual JUNO Awards.
Receiving JUNO nods in the category of Dance Recording of the Year are Bob Moses and Kasablanca (“Afterglow“), Grimes (“Shinigami Eyes“), Loud Luxury (“These Nights“), Rêve (“CTRL + ALT + DEL“) and Rezz (“Spiral“).
Up for the JUNO Award for Underground Dance Single of the Year are Bensley (“Debonair”), BLOND:ISH and Cameron Jack (“Aye Aye”), Fred Everything (“The Time Is (Now)”), Greg Gow (“I Knew Techno”) and Tiga (“Easy”).
Nominees for the Electronic Album of the Year include Mecha Maiko (“Not OK“), Odonis Odonis (“Sprectrums“), Rezz (“Nightmare on Rezz Street 2 Mix“), Rich Aucoin (“Synthetic Season 1“) and Teen Daze (“Interior“).
This year’s JUNO winners will be awarded in Edmonton, Alberta at the JUNO Opening Night Awards presented by Music Canada on Saturday, March 11th. A live broadcast will air on Monday, March 13th.
