Ottawa artists Lindasson and TwoTiime have linked up for a remix of “Eighties”.
Originally released by Lindasson in 2020, “Eighties” is a melodic track that calls back to old-school styles. The flair of TwoTiime’s verse brings the remix to a whole new level. The differing tones of the pair’s vocals add texture and depth, elevating “Eighties” past its original form.
The music video for the remix was produced, directed, and edited by local videographer Ben Telford. “This ‘Eighties’ remix is big for the city,” says Lindasson about the track’s intended impact on Ottawa. “Ben Telford is one of the best videographers to come out the city and TwoTiime is going crazy in the music scene right now. It’s always a blessing to work with two guys I consider brothers.”
Lindasson named himself after his late mother Linda. “She’s one of the reasons I started this music thing and none of this would have been possible without her,” he says. “With my name being Lindasson, it’s like she’s living through me with everything I do.”
This is TwoTiime’s second release of the month, following similarly Ottawa-inspired track “Off Some.” He was also featured as one of our artists to watch out for in 2022.
