What on earth is going on with Porter Robinson?
That question had been gnawing at fans over the course of the last 24 hours, which were tantamount to torture after he uploaded a documentary-style YouTube video with the title “The Day Porter Robinson Deleted All His Music.”
“If you ever have been traumatized by @porterrobinson you may be entitled to compensation,” one fan quipped on X.
Whether or not Robinson actually planned to remove his many beloved dance anthems from streaming platforms was unclear—albeit doubtful—but pairing the video with a cryptic countdown on his website certainly didn’t allay concerns. He also scrubbed his Instagram and archived all of its posts.
Shortly after the clock struck zero, however, came a collective sigh of relief after Robinson revealed a new album, his first since since 2021’s Nurture. That album followed the electronic music superstar’s fan-favorite debut, Worlds, which features one of his most prized songs, “Sad Machine.”
“The album is done,” he wrote across his social media.
Check out Robinson’s reveal below. He has not yet revealed the new album’s title or release date, but fans can register for updates here.
