OK Cool announce debut album Chit Chat, share punchy new single ‘Waawooweewaa’

Chicago duo OK Cool has announced its debut album Chit Chat, due out August 1st, 2025, and shared its high-octane lead single ‘Waawooweewaa’ alongside a new video.
Comprised of Bridget Stiebris and Haley Blomquist Waller, OK Cool taps into their most direct rock ’n’ roll instincts on ‘Waawooweewaa.’ The track’s gritty energy and no-frills power underline the band’s DIY ethos, steadily earning them a loyal local following. The video, created by Roadhouse Productions, complements the song’s spirited nature with a raw, kinetic visual style.
Stiebris explains:
“I wrote the demo for this song in 2019 after a recent breakup, and I was kind of just musing on the patterns of my past breakups and how I felt in that moment. Any breakup of a serious relationship just sucks and I was in my feelings about it ending. I had also recently seen the movie Borat, which is why the song has a dumb name… but I think assigning some of these songs dumb names also helps me make fun of myself and not take it too seriously.”
‘Waawooweewaa’ sets the stage for Chit Chat, a 10-track record fully written, performed, and produced by the band.
