Newton Faulkner returns with explosive new single ‘Alright Alright Alright’

After a five-year hiatus, Newton Faulkner reintroduces himself with the fiery new single ‘Alright Alright Alright,’ a bold sonic pivot that marks the beginning of a new chapter in his storied career.
Out now via Cooking Vinyl Records, ‘Alright Alright Alright’ is the first taste of Faulkner’s forthcoming eighth studio album, OCTOPUS, due 19th September 2025. The track leaves behind the acoustic stylings that defined much of Faulkner’s earlier work in favor of distorted Hofner Violin Bass and a high-energy, genre-bending production. It also features Ukrainian duo The Bloom Twins, whose haunting vocals add a layer of cool surrealism to the mix.
Reflecting on the recording process, Faulkner shares:
“I was in the studio having more fun than anyone should be allowed have at work and I didn’t give a f*ck what anyone would think of the track. The fact that it is now the first single of my eighth studio album is mind-blowing to me.”
