Nandi Bushell Unveils Single "The Only One" With New Band

Music prodigy Nandi Bushell has unveiled a new single titled “The Only One,” an alt-pop tune from her new band Blu Reflection. The trio features Nandi on drums and vocals, Sebby Joel on guitar, and Kea Emina on bass.

The teenage three-piece posted a couple of covers last year, but this is their first original song together. The melodic single has 14-year-old Nandi singing an infectious chorus featuring the lyrics, “Maybe I’m the only one/ That feels like this/ Maybe you’re the only one/ Who hurts like me.”

In the song credits, Nandi is listed as both the composer and the lyricist, adding another impressive entry on her musical résumé. The multi-instrumentalist has jammed with the likes of Foo Fighters, Tom Morello, Brian May, and more, at one point earning Consequence‘s 2021 Rookie of the Year honors.

When we interviewed Nandi in 2021, we asked her where she envisioned herself musically as she got older, and she told us, “I want to write more songs, and create albums that are multi-Grammy winning.”

Well, it looks like she’s well on her way.
