My Morning Jacket has unveiled ‘Half A Lifetime,’ the latest single from their upcoming album is, set for release on March 21 via ATO Records.
Originally conceived during the sessions for their 2005 album Z, ‘Half A Lifetime’ has been transformed from its initial stripped-down form into a soaring, electrifying anthem. The track is characterized by a frenzied burst of guitar riffs, showcasing the band’s signature mix of psych-rock intensity and melodic grandeur. Alongside the single, My Morning Jacket has released a visually captivating music video directed by Danny Clinch, now available for streaming.
My Morning Jacket’s Jim James says:
“It’s about doing whatever it takes to get where you need to go, instead of bailing when things get hard which is funny considering that it literally took a half a lifetime to finish.”
