Moontype returns with ‘Four Hands ii,’ the latest glimpse into their upcoming album I Let The Wind Push Down On Me, out May 23rd via Orindal Records.

A song that took time to find its final form, ‘Four Hands ii’ encapsulates the push-and-pull of desire—whether physical or the sheer impulse to throw caution to the wind. Driven by Margaret McCarthy’s intuitive songwriting and the band’s layered, swelling arrangements, the track pulses with an urgency that builds and recedes, mirroring the restless energy at its core. Originally a challenge to piece together, it ultimately became a guiding light for the album’s creative process.

McCarthy says of the track:

“This one is about desire. Body desire, but it’s the same as the feeling of needing to drive really fast with the windows down and the music loud.

“It took a while for us to figure this one out, but it’s become one of our favorites to play. I think the trick was finding the shape, the swells, and the dips.”

‘Four Hands ii’ is out now on your favorite DSP.
