Philadelphia indie rock quartet Mo Lowda & the Humble have released a striking double A-side single, ‘7.31’ and ‘Sara’s Got Big Plans,’ showcasing their ability to blend introspection with soaring melodies. These two new tracks provide an intimate yet powerful preview of their upcoming fifth album, Tailing the Ghost, due out June 20 via the band’s independent label.

‘7.31’ embodies a dreamy, late-summer haze, driven by rolling grooves and warm, echoed vocals. The song meditates on the inevitability of change, encouraging listeners to embrace life’s transitions with acceptance rather than fear. Lyrically, it offers a reflective sense of peace, underlining the importance of celebrating the small wins.

Jordan Caiola, the band’s lead vocalist and guitarist, elaborates on the song’s message:

“‘7.31’ is a subtle nudge to remember to celebrate the small wins and come to terms with the fleeting nature of life. Folks are often terrified of change (myself included sometimes), yet it is an absolute of the human experience. Things shift and change and I think that’s necessary for any sort of growth or progress, whether it be on a personal level or society as a whole. ‘7.31’ says don’t be afraid.”

Meanwhile, ‘Sara’s Got Big Plans’ takes a different approach, offering a sendoff to an old flame with an unorthodox song structure and compelling gang vocals. Recorded in the California desert, the track reflects on parting ways while still admiring the subject’s ambition and intelligence. The rhythmic energy and layered production create an engaging narrative that resonates with both heartache and hope.

Both ‘7.31’ and ‘Sara’s Got Big Plans’ are available now, giving fans a taste of what’s to come. With a new album on the horizon and a tour set to bring their electrifying live presence to audiences across the country, Mo Lowda & the Humble are proving once again that change isn’t something to fear—it’s something to embrace.
