Ministry Unveil Video for New Version of "Everyday Is Halloween"

Ministry are celebrating their early works on their just-released album The Squirrely Years Revisited and upcoming spring tour. In conjunction with the LP and tour, the band has unveiled a music video for the new version of its classic goth anthem “Everyday Is Halloween.”

Prior to embracing the industrial-metal sound that they’ve come to be known for, Ministry showcased a synth-pop vibe on their first two albums, 1983’s With Sympathy and 1986’s Twitch. “Everyday Is Halloween” was released as a non-album single in 1984, in between those first two LPs, and went on to become a favorite in goth and dark wave clubs.

The Squirrely Years Revisited, which was released this past Friday (March 28th), features Ministry’s new re-recordings of nine of the songs from that era on vinyl (order here), with an extra three tracks on the CD version (order here).

“The Squirrely Years Tour” kicks off April 29th in Phoenix, Arizona, and runs through a June 5th show in Las Vegas, with a setlist focused on the band’s early years. Tickets are available here.

Ministry mastermind Al Jourgensen rejected the band’s early works for decades, but in recent years started performing “Everyday Is Halloween” acoustically. The band also played a synth-pop set at the Cruel World festival last May that was very well received.

Additionally, Ministry are working on their final studio album, which will be released in 2026. Jourgensen has welcomed back classic member Paul Barker to work on the forthcoming LP.

The “Everyday Is Halloween” clip is the first-ever official music video for the song, with the original track never receiving a proper video. Watch it below.
