Sometimes you can always get what you want.
Mick Jagger is officially engaged for the third time.
The Rolling Stones frontman, 81, and Melanie Hamrick, 37, have been quietly engaged for “two to three years,” Hamrick confirmed in an interview with French publication Paris Match on Wednesday.
But, they’re not necessarily hearing wedding bells ring just yet.
“Maybe one day we’ll marry, maybe not. We are so happy in our current life that I would be too afraid to change anything,” she said.
About her relationship with the rock star, who is 44 years her senior, she said, “We try to support each other, be there for each other and make sure everyone is happy. That’s all that matters to me and all I strive for.”
Hamrick met the “Gimme Shelter” singer in 2014 when he was on tour in Japan with the Rolling Stones and she was on tour with the American Ballet Theatre.
They welcomed their son, Jagger’s eighth child, Deveraux, in 2016.
Hamrick retired from the American Ballet Theatre after 15 years in 2019.
Hamrick was spotted wearing a diamond ring in 2023, but she didn’t confirm an engagement at the time.
“In my mind, it’s a promise ring. We’ll be immature and call it a promise ring,” she told People at the time.
When the French outlet asked if she felt a spark when she met the “Satisfaction” singer, she said, “Maybe a spark, but nothing incredible, like, ‘Come on, I’ll blow your mind and we’ll travel the world. We didn’t even exchange phone numbers. At the time, I wasn’t in a relationship, but he was.”
Jagger has eight children with five different women, including daughter Karis, 54, with actress Marsha Hunt.
He had daughter Jade, 53, with his wife Bianca Jagger, who he was married to from 1971 to 1978.
Jagger also shares four children — daughters Elizabeth, 41, Georgia May, 33, and sons James, 39, and Gabriel, 27 — with Jerry Hall, who he was engaged to from 1990 to 1997.
In 1999, he had son Lucas, 25, with model Luciana Morad Gimenez in 1999. In 2016, Jagger and Mamrick had their son, Deveraux, 8.
Jagger also previously dated Marianne Faithfull and L’Wren Scott. The latter died by suicide at age 49 in 2014.
After retiring from ballet, Hamrick now writes erotic novels.
“I was definitely inspired by ‘Fifty Shades of Grey,’ ” Hamrick told The Post in August, adding that she felt like the genre is “missing some ballet.’”
When asked what Rolling Stone Songs get her jumping, she gushed: “Well, I love ‘She’s a Rainbow,’ because that was my favorite piece in the ‘Porte Rouge’ choreography. And I love ‘Whole Wide World’ on the new album [‘Hackney Diamonds’].”
She said she’s competitive with the “Sympathy for the Devil,” singer, who is 44 years her senior.
“He’s in great shape,” she said. “But then, you know, the competitiveness in me [kicks in], like, ‘How long did you stay on the bike for? I’m gonna stay longer!’ ”
