Michael B Thomas announces new EP A New Dance and releases single ‘Skeleton On Strings (SOS)’

Leeds-based musician Michael B Thomas has announced his new EP A New Dance, set for release on August 30, 2024, via Bam Bam Records.
Alongside the announcement, Thomas has released a new single, ‘Skeleton On Strings (SOS),’ which you can stream now. The self-produced track, recorded in the bedrooms of Thomas and drummer Lachlan Banner (Van Houten), was mixed by Harry Jordan (Eades). ‘Skeleton On Strings (SOS)’ is the second single from the upcoming EP, following ‘Test Tube Baby.’ The song features delicate finger-picked guitars and bustling drums, creating an indie-folk tale of being manipulated by an unnamed puppet master.
Speaking on the track, Michael B Thomas said:
“‘Skeleton On Strings’ I think is subconsciously a song about looking after yourself. It’s an acceptance to understanding past manipulations and feeling like you’ve been exploited; played like a puppet so to speak. Like there is no winning and no trust to make your own decisions, be that by your own head or by someone else.”
