What Is Metallica’s 2025 North American Tour?
As has been the case for the past couple years, Metallica’s “M72 Tour” sees the thrash legends continuing their “No Repeat Weekend” format where they play two completely unique sets over two nights in a single city. However, for this leg, Metallica will also play one-night-only concerts in certain cities.
Metallica will play multiple-night stadium shows in Toronto, Nashville, Philadelphia, Tampa, Houston, Santa Clara, and Denver.
The one-night-only dates on the itinerary include Syracuse (the tour kickoff on April 19th), Blacksburg, Landover, Charlotte, Atlanta, and Houston. These shows will feature the full production and massive in-the-round stage setup seen on Metallica’s “No Repeat Weekend” dates.

How Can I Buy Tickets for Metallica’s 2025 North American Tour?
Tickets for Metallica’s 2025 North American “M72” tour are now on sale. Fans can look for deals or get tickets to sold-out concerts via StubHub, where your purchase is 100% guaranteed through StubHub’s Fan Protect program. StubHub is a secondary market ticketing platform, and prices may be higher or lower than face value, depending on demand.
Who Is Opening on Metallica’s 2025 North American Tour?
Pantera are returning as direct support on select dates after opening shows on the 2024 “M72” tour. The reunited thrashers will be paired with Suicidal Tendencies for 12 shows on the upcoming run. Meanwhile, the other six dates will be supported by Limp Bizkit and Ice Nine Kills.
Have Metallica Toured with Pantera and Limp Bizkit Before?
As mentioned, Metallica just played shows with Pantera on the 2024 “M72” tour. On the other hand, it’s been over two decades since Metallica and Limp Bizkit last toured together when the latter supported the 2003 leg of the “Summer Sanitarium Tour.”
What Songs Are Metallica Playing on Their “M72 World Tour” Setlists?
In the cities where Metallica play two shows, they do not repeat any songs from one night to the next. For example, if they play “Master of Puppets” on the first night, they won’t play it the second night. And if they play “Enter Sandman” on the second night, they won’t play it on the first night. For the most part, the setlists are made up of the band’s classic songs, along with a few tunes from the band’s latest album, 72 Seasons. Some shows also include a unique “hometown doodle” from guitarist Kirk Hammett and bassist Robert Trujillo.
