Meek Mill, Michael Rubin, and Kevin Hart have partnered on a multimillion-dollar donation aimed at educational facilities in the Philadelphia area.
Per a press release, the three have been confirmed to be giving back by way of a collective donation of $7 million. The donation will be put toward 60 different schools in need (both private and parochial) in the Philly region. More specifically, the three are aiming to help lower income students via scholarships, as well as by providing laptops and other tech-related needs.
Previously, the group donated $15 million to 100 schools in the city as part of their 2022 initiative.
In tweets commemorating the latest philanthropic move, Meek pointed to his own connection to the public school system.
“Gotta get the whole trap booming too,” he said on Monday.
In December, Meek was revealed to have paid off the bail for 20 women in Philadelphia to ensure they could spend the holiday season with their respective families.
“No one should have to spend the holidays in jail simply because they can’t afford bail,” Meek said at the time, adding that he was grateful to have the chance to “help these women be with their families and loved ones during this special time of year.”
