Madlib Loses Home and Music Equipment in LA Wildfires, Launches Fundraiser

Hip-hop producer Madlib has revealed that he and his family have lost “their home, decades of music, and equipment” in the Los Angeles wildfires.

To help rebuild, they have launched a Donorbox to address “immediate personal needs, essentials like clothing, temporary housing, transportation costs, and the tools Madlib needs to continue creating the music that has touched so many lives.” Find more information and donate here.

Many artists have lost their homes in the LA wildfires, including DIIV’s Zachary Cole Smith, Primus guitarist Larry “Ler” LaLonde, and Iron Maiden’s Adrian Smith. See a constantly updated list of fundraisers for members of the music community here.

Here at Consequence, we’ve launched a special “All for LA” edition of our Protect Live Music t-shirts, where 100% of proceeds will go to MusiCares’ Los Angeles Fire Relief Effort. Find additional ways to support and donate here.
