Machine Head have unveiled the new song “These Scars Won’t Define Us” featuring In Flames, Lacuna Coil, and Unearth. The collaborative track comes a couple days after the announcement of a 2025 North American tour including all four bands.
The spring outing launches April 5th in Machine Head’s hometown of Oakland, California, and runs through May 10th in Kelowna, British Columbia. General ticket sales start today (November 15th) at 10 a.m. local time via Ticketmaster.
With the sheer number of musicians contributing to the song “These Scars Won’t Define Us,” Machine Head are calling the track a “Wu-Tang Clan level thrash collaboration.”
An accompanying lyric video (see below) identifies each band’s contribution as the song plays. Vocals from Machine Head’s Robb Flynn, In Flames’ Anders Fridén, Lacuna Coil’s Andrea Ferro and Cristina Scabbia, and Unearth’s Trevor Phipps can be heard singing the tune’s anthemic lyrics.
The stand-alone single also marks the first new music from Machine Head since their 2022 album, Of Kingdom and Crown.
