Lizzo is planning her comeback with a brand new era: her first solo release in three years, a new album, and three intimate concerts.
Lizzo is coming back in a big way. After lying low in the fallout from her legal scandal, the Grammy and Emmy-winning performer has released a new single and a music video to go along with it — her first solo release in three years.
The drop also heralds the arrival of her fifth full-length album, Love In Real Life, due out for release this summer. “Love in Real Life finds Lizzo firing on all cylinders. Once again, she boldly evolves, leaning into rock n’ roll like never before,” reads an official statement from Lizzo’s team.
To celebrate the beginning of her new chapter, Lizzo will perform three “super intimate” fan shows next month. First, she heads to The Wiltern in Los Angeles on March 12, followed by Irving Plaza in New York on March 16, and First Avenue in Minneapolis on March 18. Ticket presale signups are available now on Lizzo’s website. Presales will start on March 5 and general onsale begins March 6 at 10 AM local time.

Earlier this month, Lizzo teased her new music release by bidding farewell to her previous era in a viral Instagram post. She followed that up with the reveal of a flute-soundtracked trailer for the new album, stirring up speculation among fans that Lizzo would be returning to the stage.
“It’s the end of a very Special era,” wrote Lizzo, referencing her 2022 album, Special. “This album was my strut back into society after a hard 2020 & 2021. I wanted to help people turn up the music, turn down the lights, and get a feeling they’ll be alright.”
“I wanted to remind people of how they may be broken but still perfect in their own way,” she continued. “12 songs, 68 shows, 14 countries, 3 continents, and nearly a million voices later, we saw our specialness. We got through it together.”
“Everything was so much simpler, and that’s exactly what I need,” narrates Lizzo in the teaser released for her latest single. “No views, no likes. Real love. In real life.”
Alongside the new single, shows, and upcoming album, Lizzo’s team promises “more music and surprises soon.” This new chapter is all about “love, life, and Lizzo.”
