Festival season is finally upon us, and Coachella is kicking things off with a stacked lineup including Frank Ocean, Bad Bunny, and K-pop superstars Blackpink.
As with last year, both weekends of the fest are being livestreamed on YouTube. Aside from the previously mentioned headliners, there’s a whole slew of acts scheduled to perform on April 14-16 and April 21-23. Pusha T, Burna Boy, Rosalía, Metro Boomin, Flo Milli, Rae Sremmurd, GloRilla, Gorillaz, Björk, Noname, Latto, Willow, Idris Elba, boygenius, Labrinth, Chromeo, EarthGang, Jai Paul, Kaytranda, the Kid Laroi, Dominic Fike, Charli XCX, Kali Uchis, A Boogie With Da Hoodie, and 070 Shake are included on the lineup. Showing up as last minute additions are James Blake as well as Blink-182 with its classic lineup featuring Tom DeLonge.
What makes the livestream different this year, however, is that YouTube will be broadcasting from all six stages with different channels across both weekends. Things kick off at 7 p.m. ET (4 p.m. PT) today (April 14) and will run through Sunday. There will also be exclusive merch drops from the likes of Bad Bunny, Calvin Harris, Ethel Cain, and Porter Robinson throughout the streams. YouTube Premium subscribers will be given access to “pre-party” videos that show artists as they get ready to hit the stage.
Ahead of the start of the fest, Coachella broke down the schedule for the first weekend. There are a few notable clashes, but if fans miss any of the performances they will be repeated on the streams following the end of the final set on each respective stage.
