LISA has unveiled her new solo single, “ROCKSTAR,” along with its accompanying music video. Stream it below.
“ROCKSTAR” marks the first solo release from the rapper and BLACKPINK member in over three years. Now, after launching her own label, LLOUD CO., and partnering with RCA Records, her new era is in full swing. The song is produced by Ryan Tedder and Sam Homaee.
The music video for “ROCKSTAR” shows LISA singing in front of the iconic Yaowarat Road in Bangkok, Thailand, where she reportedly paid each of the shop owners to close up early in order to film. The video is described as an “ode to her Thai culture and authentic Thai street life.”
New music isn’t the only thing on LISA’s schedule right now — she’ll be appearing in the third season of The White Lotus, marking her official acting debut. She’s also solidifying her newly launched LLOUD CO., which a statement describes as a business “founded by LISA in an effort to create a platform to showcase her overall vision in music and entertainment that pushes boundaries.”
