Lil Baby stopped by 97.9 Jamz on Tuesday to promote his third studio album It’s Only Me.
During his appearance on the station’s Posted on the Corner show, the Quality Control rapper was asked if there was any “underlying issue” between him and Migos following speculation that he sent shots on new track “Stand On It.”
“Hell nah,” Baby said. “I be wanting to comment on that type of stuff, but I just feel like when I comment on something, it just make it bigger.”
Lil Baby continued, “First of all, I really don’t see shit on the internet. Like people send me shit and I be wanting to comment, but then I be feeling like that’s just gon’ make it like, even more,” before insisting there’s absolutely no beef between him and the Atlanta trio.
“They know I ain’t got nothing going on with them,” the 27-year-old said.
On Friday, Baby dropped his latest full-length project. According to projections shared by Hits Daily Double, It’s Only Me is expected to top the Billboard 200 by racking up 185,000 to 210,000 album equivalent units its first week.
It’s Only Me will become Baby’s third project to top the chart, following 2020’s My Turn and last year’s The Voice of the Heroes with Lil Durk; the former earned 197,000 units in its first week, and the latter did 185,000. For comparison, his debut album—2018’s Harder Than Ever—debuted at No. 3 with 71,000 units.
