Lil Baby and Gunna’s 2018 collaborative single “Drip Too Hard” has officially been certified diamond by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
The news coincides with the fourth anniversary of the track’s release. The lead single off Baby and Gunna’s 2018 joint project Drip Harder, “Drip Too Hard” peaked at No. 4 on the Billboard 100 en route to earning a Grammy nomination for Best Rap Song/Sung Performance.
The milestone puts Baby and Gunna in rare company, as “Drip Too Hard” is just the 86th song in music history to earn the prestigious certification. Even more, it’s a feat that only a handful of rappers have accomplished, as the pair now joins an exclusive club that includes the likes of Eminem, Drake, Future, and Cardi B, among others.
Earlier this month, Lil Baby announced the forthcoming release of his third studio album, It’s Only Me, which will drop Oct. 14.
“I Kno Its Been Along Time Coming But I’m Coming Harder And Harder,” he captioned an IG post revealing the cover art, which features Rap Mt. Rushmore occupied by four versions of Lil Baby.
