OpenPlay
OpenPlay has launched a new division, Reach, where RoyaltyAmp founder Bob Barbiere is serving as EVP and GM.
Oppenheim + Zebrak
Oppenheim + Zebrak has named two new partners: Katheryn Jarvis Enters (who’s been with the firm since 2018) and Jeff Kane (who came aboard in 2022).
Lectrosonics
Jonathan von Rentzell has signed on with Lectrosonics as regional sales and technical manager for the central U.S.
Symphonic Distribution
Symphonic has announced four promotions: Nashville-based Steve Lewis (who started with the company in 2019) is now senior director of UGC and video, with seven-year team member Jakub Alexander elevated to VP of A&R and client development.
And in Brooklyn, fellow seven-year Symphonic vet Jon Mizrachi has become Bodega Sync’s VP and head of sync, and Laura Catana, part of the company since 2023, is officially director of content and social media strategy.
Peermusic
Peermusic has bumped two-year team member (and former longtime ASCAP higher-up) Elizabeth Rodda to president of global society relations, U.S. Latin, and Latin America.
AWAL/Sony Music Entertainment
Amazon India’s Aniket Parpillewar has rejoined Sony Music (where he previously spent seven years specializing in film-soundtrack acquisitions and marketing), this time as head of India and South Asia for its AWAL subsidiary.
TEG
Over 14-year TEG CEO Geoff Jones has transitioned to chairman, with Brad Banducci (who previously headed Australia’s Woolworths Group) as his successor.
Ampollo
Music-collaboration startup Ampollo has announced five advisory-board appointments: Velocity Communications founder Andy Saunders (who’s also chair), ex-Spotify fan-monetization exec Emily White, former RCA MD Colin Barlow, artist manager Karl Nielsen, and industry vet Charlie Rapino.
Virgin Music Group
UMG’s Virgin has tapped longtime [PIAS] exec Adrian Pope to serve as its first EVP of digital business and global partner relations.
Musicians on Call
Musicians on Call has made 11 promotions, upping: 18-year team member Katy Epley to COO, 13-year vet Elizabeth Black to operations SVP, Nicole Rivera to innovation VP, PJ Cowan to programs director, Tarah Duarte to corporate-partnerships director, and Melinda LaFollette to PR director.
Additionally, Alli Prestby is now creative director at MOC, which has also boosted Torianne Valdez to artist-relations director, Audrey Jadwisiak to senior-program manager, Lia Okenkova to senior-development manager, and Sasha Arnkoff to program manager.
Peachtree Entertainment
Peachtree has brought on venue-management vet Marty Elliott as VP of university relations and hired Andrew Goldberg (previously a sponsorship exec with Live Nation and Danny Wimmer Presents) as VP of strategic partnerships.
Round Hill
Round Hill Music has added Jeff Bunder (who spent 30 years with EY) as global CFO and James King (who joins from Cavendish) as chief capital officer.
Spotify
The Ringer founder Bill Simmons has reupped with Spotify as “head of talk strategy.” Meanwhile, Nashville-based head of editorial Rachel Whitney is stepping away after about five years in the role.
UMG
Universal Music has announced that four-year board member (and 10-year exec at Singapore’s GIC) Manning Doherty is set to “retire” on March 21st.
Audacy
Post-bankruptcy Audacy has confirmed approximately 300 layoffs, and the far-reaching reduction is hitting programs including 98.9 FM The Rock’s The Johnny Dare Morning Show and 99.7 FM The Point’s The Ponch & Nikki Show, to name a couple.
The Other Nashville Society
The Other Nashville Society co-founders Ally Venable, Katie Fagan, Mark Abramowitz, and Josh Collum are transitioning into advisory roles. (That’s according to Music Row, which didn’t mention the status of remaining co-founder Holley Maher.)
As part of the same leadership recalibration, Downtown A&R director Jeanette Porcello is beginning as president, and Cour Design co-founder Gordon Droitcour is starting as brand director.
Other shifts (extending to some existing board members) include WNXP on-air personality Justin Causey to project director; CAA touring agent Calhoun Rawlings, Cour’s David Supica, and MLC marketing manager Jordan Todd to event directors; and mtheory’s Branden Bosler to partnerships director.
Finally, Madison Slicker is the entity’s social media director; Resin8 Management’s Lindsey Odom is membership director; and C3 Presents festival director Brad Parker (not to be confused with the artist of the same name) is an advisor.
Blue Raincoat/Chrysalis Records
Former Sony Music and BMG higher-up Colin Rice has joined Reservoir’s Blue Raincoat, which includes Chrysalis, as catalog director.
ARIA/PPCA
ARIA and PPCA COO Lynne Small, who’s been part of the Australian organizations for decades, is expected to step down at April’s end.
