The original soundtrack to Paramount+ series Landman’s debut season has been released in full. Veteran composer Andrew Lockington is behind the music. He’s also responsible for the music in blockbusters like San Andreas, Rampage, Journey to the Center of the Earth, and Percy Jackson: Sea Of Monsters.
Created by Yellowstone co-creator Taylor Sheridan and Christian Wallace, Landman premiered on Paramount+ in November 2024. It stars Billy Bob Thornton as Tommy Norris, an oil landman and an Operations VP at the company M-TEX Oil. Wallace and Sheridan based the series on the former’s Texas Monthly-produced podcast Boomtown, a 2019 investigation into the impact of big oil on Texas’ Permian Basin, where Wallace grew up. Demi Moore, John Hamm, and Ali Larter round out the series’ main cast.
Lockington’s 23-track album features the main titles, alongside cuts like “Boomtown Crude,” “Wolf Song,” and “Place In My Heart.” The first season of Landman ran for ten episodes—a second season got the green light in March 2025. Thornton received a nomination for Best Actor in a Television Drama at the Golden Globes, but ultimately lost out to Shogun’s Hiroyuki Sanada.
This is far from Sheridan and Lockington’s first time collaborating. They’ve also worked together on two of his other Paramount+ series: Mayor of Kingstown with Jeremy Renner, and Special Ops: Lioness starring Zoe Saldana, Nicole Kidman and Morgan Freeman.
