Lady Gaga’s new concert film Gaga Chromatica Ball has arrived, and to usher in its release, Mother Monster has done what she does best: wear an awesomely weird outfit to the red carpet premiere.
Specifically, Gaga dressed up like a car — err, “car part” — for the Los Angeles premiere of the film on Thursday night. Sharing a photo of the fit on Instagram, she wrote, “On the red carpet I told them it was a car part. They said ‘What kind?’ and I said ‘I don’t know, I’m not a mechanic.’”
The outfit comes courtesy of fashion director Nicola Formichetti and the clothing brand Selva. Along with additional photos of the fit, Gaga also posted a poem titled “A Poem for a Monster.” Check out the photos and read the poem below.
The Los Angeles premiere of Gaga Chromatica Ball proceeded the film’s streaming debut on Max this weekend. Elsewhere on the red carpet, Gaga answered questions from reporters, including one about her next album.
“I have written so many songs, I’ve been producing so many songs, and it’s nothing like anything that I’ve ever made before,” she told Access Hollywood. I love to break genre and I love to explore music. There’s something really beautiful about knowing that you will be loved no matter what you do.”
“Something I’m definitely exploring right now is sort of the art of intensity and I think that the art of intensity actually began during this tour,” she continued. “But I’m not done with it yet.”
Up next, Gaga is gearing up a new run of shows at the Dolby Live at Park MGM, kicking off on June 19th (Grab tickets here). She’ll also star opposite Joaquin Phoenix in Joker: Folie à Deux, which is set to open in theaters on October 4th, 2024.
