The soundtrack to Netflix’s popular animated film ‘KPop Demon Hunters‘ is now available on vinyl, featuring nine original tracks.
‘KPop Demon Hunters,’ one of Netflix’s most popular titles since its debut in June, now has a soundtrack available on vinyl. The record features nine original tracks performed by the film’s fictional girl group HUNTR/X and their rival boy band, Saja Boys.
The film follows three K-pop idols—Rumi, Mira, and Zoey—who balance global stardom using their music to fight their enemies and protect their fans. “When they aren’t selling out stadiums, they use their secret identities as badass demon hunters to protect their fans from an ever-present supernatural threat,” reads the film’s description. “Together, they must face their biggest enemy yet—an irresistible rival boy band of demons in disguise.”
The soundtrack features songs like “How It’s Done,” which plays during the film’s opening battle scene, “Golden,” a performance mid-film that serves as an emotional anchor for the group. The Saja Boys’ “Soda Pop” also appears, featured in the film during a PR showdown that takes its cues from real-world K-pop aesthetics.
Other songs include the slower duet “Free,” the Saja Boys’ “Your Idol,” which serves as further commentary on parasocial fandom, and “What It Sounds Like,” played during the film’s final act. The film’s main fight anthem, “Takedown,” appears in two versions: one by the fictional HUNTR/X and a remix by TWICE members Jeongyeon, Jihyo, and Chaeyoung.
The soundtrack continues to rank on both the albums and singles charts, making its return to #2 on the Billboard 200 this week. “Golden” sits at #2, and “Your Idol” made it to the Top 10 at #9. The vinyl edition includes the full tracklist in the order it appears in the story, and features production from Teddy Park, Lindgren, Jenna Andrews, and Ian Eisendrath.
