Post-‘Pinoy Big Brother,’ Klarisse ‘Klang’ de Guzman gets back in the groove as she gears up to release new music and hold her own concert this year
MANILA, Philippines – It’s official: 2025 is going to be a busy year for Klarisse “Klang” de Guzman.
After capturing the public’s attention during her stint at Pinoy Big Brother (PBB): Celebrity Collab Edition, Klarisse is looking to make waves further in her work as a musician.
At the Spotlight Presscon with the Kapamilya PBB housemates on Monday, July 14, the singer shared she had a full-length album underway.
“Ongoing na po ‘yung next album ko under Star Music. Abangan ‘nyo po, nagstart na po ako mag-record ng aking next album,” she shared.
(My next album under Star Music is already ongoing. Watch out for it, I’ve already started recording.)
Klarisse, however, has yet to come up with a title for the album.
“Wala pang title, iniisip pa rin. Hindi naman siguro ‘OA’,” she quipped, referencing her viral PBB moment where she had walked out on an argument with fellow housemate Dustin Yu.
(I don’t have a title for it yet, we’re still thinking of one. But it probably won’t be OA.)
The “Wala Na Talaga” hitmaker then revealed that she is also working on staging another solo concert on September 26. Further details though, had not been disclosed.
Before entering Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition, Klarisse had already made her mark as a stellar singer-songwriter, making appearances on shows like Star for a Night, where she shared the stage with Filipino vocal powerhouses Regine Velasquez and Sarah Geronimo as a young child.
In 2013, she then joined The Voice of the Philippines Season 2, where she had chosen Geronimo to be her coach. She notched a 1st runner-up finish.
In 2014, she dropped her first album, Klarisse de Guzman, and in 2017, released the seven-track album Klarisse.
She staged her first major solo concert, titled “Her Time,” in 2022.
She last put out new music in May 2024, her three-tack EP Feels, consisting of songs “Dito,” “Minamahal Pa Rin Ako,” and “Bibitawan Ka.” – Rappler.com
