London-based Gambian artist JNR Choi continues his breakout year with his new single and video, “Tick Tock.”
The song is the latest in a string of singles from JNR Choi, who catapulted into the mainstream this year on the back of his hit single “Too The Moon.” Released last November, the track peaked at No. 10 on Billboard’s Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart this spring, en route to scoring a remix with a foursome of drill rappers: Fivio Foreign, G Herbo, M24 and Russ Millions.
From there, Choi joined forces with Fivio again in August, dropping a video for their collaborative single “Amused.”
It’s unclear if “Too The Moon,” “Amused,” or “Tick Tock” will appear on Choi’s upcoming full-length offering. When it arrives, the project will serve as the official follow-up to the UK artist’s 2021 debut album SS1.
Earlier this year, Choi signed a deal with Epic Records and Sony Music UK/Black Butter Records.
“I know what my labels are about. It’s a blessing that I don’t take for granted,” Choi told Billboard in March. “Every move we make I am reminded that I made the right decision. They really walk the walk and so do I. The warmup is over. Let’s begin.”
