Australian rockers Jet have released their first new songs in 15 years, the single “Hurry Hurry” and its B-side, “Un’avventura.” The new tunes come after Jet revealed earlier this year that they were working on their first album since 2009’s Shaka Rock, with plans for a 2025 release.
Jet have been on the road in ongoing support of the 20th anniversary of their hit debut album, Get Born. “Hurry Hurry” became a regular fixture in their setlist during shows in Australia back in the spring. The tour will continue with a European/UK leg kicking off in late September (tickets available here) and a brief US outing launching in mid October (tickets available here).
“‘Hurry Hurry’ is our first single in 15 years and a little appetizer while we continue to work on our upcoming album,” stated Jet frontman Nic Cester. “We’ve been playing ‘Hurry Hurry’ live with a great response from our fans in Australia, we’re really looking forward to debuting it live at our overseas shows in Italy, the UK and the US.”
Jet achieved massive success with 2003’s Get Born, thanks to huge hits like “Are You Gonna Be My Girl” and “Cold Hard Bitch.” They’ve only released two more albums since then, taking a couple of extended hiatuses along the way.
Fans can pre-order the “Hurry Hurry” / “Un’avventura” 7-inch single via Impressed Recordings, or pick up a limited-edition copy at one of the band’s upcoming shows, with only 20 units being sold at each concert.
