Jeremy Allen White is inching closer to meeting Bruce Springsteen in preparation for his starring role in the upcoming biopic Deliver Me from Nowhere. In a red carpet interview with Variety, White revealed he has been texting with The Boss, whom he hopes to meet after the artist’s upcoming concert in London.
Speaking to Variety, White said he has “texted and emailed” with Springsteen, who naturally texts “like a boss.” The actor added that he’s “really excited” to see Springsteen perform at London’s Wembley Stadium on Saturday (July 27th).

Last month, White said he was “gonna try” to do his own singing in the movie, but admitted he wasn’t quite ready to meet Springsteen in person.
“I’m trying to have a bit of my own process with it before meeting the man,” he said at the time. “I wanna try to have an understanding, so when I meet him, I’ll have a bit of confidence somewhere in me to stand there.” Now, it appears The Bear star is ready.
Deliver Me from Nowhere comes from writer and director Scott Cooper (Crazy Heart). It will chronicle the making of Springsteen’s seminal album, Nebraska, and is based on Warren Zanes’ 2023 biography, Deliver Me from Nowhere: The Making of Bruce Springsteen’s Nebraska. There’s currently no release date for the film.
White recently received an Emmy nomination for Lead Actor in a Comedy Series in recognition of his role in The Bear. Read our Season 3 review, and catch up on all the episodes on Hulu (subscribe here).
