Jason Isbell has offered “Foxes in the Snow,” the title track to his upcoming acoustic album.
Just like first single “Bury Me,” “Foxes in the Snow” is a stripped-down, barebones folk cut from the former cover star. Perfectly in time for Valentine’s Day, Isbell narrates all the things he adores about his lover: “I love my love/ I love her hands/ I love the way she sees the child inside of man,” he sings wistfully in the finale verse atop a teeter-tottering guitar line. “Foxes in the Snow” follows “Bury Me,” which arrived when Isbell announced the solo LP in January. His first entirely solo acoustic album, Isbell recorded Foxes in the Snow across five days at New York City’s Electric Lady Studios. Isbell will also be embarking on a solo tour throughout February and March in support of Foxes in the Snow before linking back up with his trusted band, The 400 Unit, for more shows in the late spring and summer.
