Jake Bugg has unveiled ‘I Wrote The Book,’ the final single from his forthcoming album A Modern Day Distraction, due out on October 4th.
‘I Wrote The Book’ is a hopeful and uplifting track, embodying the raw, rock-focused style that has defined much of Bugg’s career. Produced at Metrophonic Studios in London, the song carries a sense of reflection and purpose, building on themes of personal and societal frustration. Directed by Rachael Halaburda, the video was shot in the West of Ireland during a break in Jake’s tour. In a cozy Irish pub, locals joined in for a spirited sing-along, capturing the communal and celebratory feel of the song.
Speaking about the new single, Jake shared:
“We filmed this in the West of Ireland at an amazing pub on a day off between shows. We invited the locals to join us for a few drinks and a sing along. It was a great time!”
‘I Wrote The Book’ is out now.
