Iron Maiden have announced that Mongolian folk-metal band The HU will support their Fall 2024 North American tour. The metal legends have also added one more date to the run, an October 9th show in Phoenix.
A press release notes that the Phoenix show finalizes the itinerary for the North American leg of the band’s “Future Past Tour.” The outing kicks off October 4th in San Diego and runs through a November 17th show in San Antonio, with tickets available here.
A Live Nation pre-sale for the Phoenix show will begin Thursday (March 28th) at 10 a.m. MT using the code KEY, followed by a general on-sale Friday at 10 a.m. MT via Ticketmaster.
For The HU, the tour marks an opportunity to showcase their music to a massive audience of metal fans, and support one of their musical heroes.
“Iron Maiden is the master of the masters of rock music — they are one of the biggest inspirations to us,” stated The HU in a band statement. “The way that they create and perform their music is majestic and we still remember the first time we heard their ‘Trooper’ song and felt the deep energy behind each word. Something about their rhythm hits so close to home and we can’t wait to be on a tour with them for the first time. America, we will see you very soon and be prepared for the mind-blowing shows we will bring to you!”
“The Future Past Tour” sees Iron Maiden showcasing their most recent album, Senjutsu (which topped Heavy Consequence‘s list of the Best Metal & Hard Rock Albums of 2021), as well as 1986’s Somewhere in Time, along with a handful of favorites from other albums.
Prior to the North American leg, Iron Maiden will be hitting Australia and Japan in September. After the North American run, Maiden will play a handful of Latin American dates. Tickets for their international shows are available here.
