I’m With Her — the folk supergroup of Sarah Jarosz, Aoife O’Donovan, and Sara Watkins — have announced their new album, Wild and Clear and Blue, along with a 2025 North American tour. It’s out in full on May 9th via Rounder Records, and you can stream the first single “Ancient Light” below.
Recorded in New York state between The Outlier Inn in the Catskills and The Clubhouse in Rhinebeck, the trio’s sophomore album was produced by Bonny Light Horseman member Josh Kaufman and mixed by D. James Goodwin. Pre-orders for vinyl and CD copies are ongoing.
In a press statement, O’Donovan said they wrote Wild and Clear and Blue while “thinking about growing up so in love with music and then actually making music ourselves — it’s very specific to our own lives, but I think there’s something universal about having those childhood memories tied up in the music your parents played for you.”
The supporting tour kicks off on June 5th in St. Louis, with subsequent dates in New York City, Los Angeles, Nashville, Chicago, Boston, Seattle, Austin, and more. An artist pre-sale for select dates launches on Wednesday, March 5th (sign up for access here) at 10:00 a.m. local time ahead of the general on-sale on Friday, March 7th at 10:00 a.m. local time via Ticketmaster.
Described by the band as “communing with our past and future selves,” new song “Ancient Light” comes with a self-recorded music video containing behind-the-scenes footage from the making of the album. Watch it below.
I’m With Her released their debut album, See You Around, in 2018. Check out the trio’s Origins breakdown of “Call My Name,” a song they released the following year.
