Adele completed her 10-date concert residency in Munich, Germany on Saturday, during which she confirmed that it would mark one of her final live performances for the foreseeable future.
The singer still has few shows remaining as part of her Las Vegas residency scheduled in October (get tickets here). However, once those dates are complete, she intends to step away from the stage and take a hiatus from performing for “an incredibly long time,”

Reflecting on her residences in Las Vegas and Munich, Adele said, “I’m not the most comfortable performer, I know that, but I am very fucking good at it. And I have really enjoyed performing for nearly three years now, which is the longest I’ve ever done and probably the longest I’ll ever do.”
“I have 10 shows left after this, back in my residency [in Las Vegas] — but after that, I will not see you for an incredibly long time,” Adele continued. “I will hold you dear in my heart for that whole length of my break, and I will fantasize about these shows and any shows that I’ve done over the last three years.”
Fighting back tears, Adele concluded her remarks by saying, “It has been amazing, I just need a rest. I have spent the last seven years building a new life for myself, and I want to live it now.”
Adele made similar comments in an interview with German broadcaster ZDF prior to the launch of her Munich residency earlier this summer. “I don’t have any plans for new music, at all,” Adele explained. “I want a big break after this and I think I want to do other creative things, just for a little while.”
