Instagram now has integrations with Apple Music, Amazon Music, and Spotify. The new feature enables users to share 30-second song previews in the chat window. Here’s how it works.
Along with a slew of new messaging features, including a list of online friends, Instagram has added the ability to share 30-second song previews right into private messages. Enabled by integrations with Amazon Music, Apple Music, and Spotify, clips can be shared, played, and paused directly from the chat window.

Instagram has offered select music app integration in the past, such as sharing a song in your Instagram Stories, but this is the first time users will be able to play, pause, and listen to music clips directly in their chat windows.
The new Instagram features rolled out slowly to select users before expanding worldwide. While we’ve yet to see whether Apple Music, Amazon Music, or Spotify will add a dedicated “Share to Instagram Messenger” button, it’s something we would like to see. For now, users will have to make do with sharing links in their messages.
