Welcome back, Tashi Duncan. Four months after Challengers swept into theaters, the heart-pounding score from Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross is officially set for distribution in vinyl format. The record will be released on November 1st; pre-order it here.
The package is set to include the score itself, pressed on black vinyl, along with prints of on-set photos, collectible trading cards, and a bumper sticker for Phil’s Tire Town, the sponsor of the final match in the movie itself.
Challengers was directed by Luca Guadagnino and stars Zendaya, Josh O’Connor, and Mike Faist as three athletes caught in a decades-spanning love triangle of power dynamics that play out on and off the court. The score also received a remixed version from producer Boys Noize, and was named one of our 30 favorite albums of the year.
After receiving an incredible response for their work on Challengers, Oscar-winning duo Reznor and Ross will be re-teaming to develop the score for Tron: Ares, which will be credited to their band Nine Inch Nails.
