One unheralded DJ can now spin their way into Tomorrowland, the world’s largest EDM festival, thanks to a new contest.
The iconic festival brand today launched a competition via the Online Tomorrowland DJ & Producing Academy, its native e-learning program. The virtual academy offers courses led by a number of tenured Tomorrowland performers as well as access to music production tools and exclusive masterclasses by a number of the world’s most renowned DJs.
If you’re an artist with dreams of performing at Tomorrowland, all you have to do is become a member of the academy and submit a DJ mix. The mixtape submission must be between 30 and 45 minutes and every genre is acceptable, according to Tomorrowland. The deadline to submit mixes is June 20th, 2024.
The winner of the contest will perform at Tomorrowland’s 2024 festival in Belgium on Saturday, July 20th on the House of Fortune by JBL stage. They’ll also “experience the artist life” with backstage access to the festival, which is celebrating Tomorrowland’s momentous 20th anniversary.
You can find out more about the contest here. A subscription to the Online Tomorrowland DJ & Producing Academy costs €15 per month or €165 per year.
Tomorrowland returns across two weekends in 2024: July 19-21 and July 26-28. You can read more about the event and discover its lineup here.
