Rod Wave has earned his second No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with Beautiful Mind.
His fourth studio effort amassed 115,000 album equivalent units, of which 113,000 consisted of SEA units, equaling 157.73 million on-demand streams of the set’s tracks, Billboard reports. Beautiful Mind and SoulFly, which was released last year, debuted atop the Billboard 200, while his other two albums, Pray 4 Love and Ghetto Gospel, still managed to finish within the top 10.
Prior to its release, the Florida native announced that Beautiful Mind will be his “last sad ass album,” adding, “I’m off dat jus wanna live happy travel get dis money.”
Beautiful Mind was able to stave off the Billboard 200 juggernaut that has become Un Verano Sin Ti, the fourth solo studio offering from Bad Bunny. After giving up the No. 1 spot to Beyoncé’s Renaissance in its debut week, Un Verano Sin Ti was back atop the Billboard 200 chart last week.
Un Verano Sin Ti accumulated 108,000 equivalent album units, a decline from last week’s sum of less than one percent, a clear indication that his album shows no signs of slowing down. Meanwhile, Renaissance finished in third for a second consecutive week with 64,000 units.
Megan Thee Stallion’s sophomore album Traumazine debuted at No. 4 after moving 63,000 equivalent album units, of which 54,000 were comprised of SEA units, equaling 85.72 million on-demand official streams. Traumazine becomes her sixth straight project to crack the Billboard top 10. Her 2020 debut studio album Good News peaked at No. 2, the best performance of the group on the chart.
