HEALTH and Chelsea Wolfe have teamed up for the collaborative song “MEAN,” their first-ever joint track.
Produced by Stint (who also produced HEALTH’s RAT WARS LP) and mixed by Lars Stalfors, the single follows the same template as HEALTH’s many collaborative tracks, as the group lay down a propulsive bed of electro-industrial that leaves a large creative opening for a guest singer. On “MEAN” — a rather somber tune by HEALTH’s standards — Wolfe fills in those spaces with her ethereal voice.
The single arrives following the launch of HEALTH’s headlining “RAT WARS EXPANSION Tour,” including a current US leg that runs through a May 15th appearance at Welcome to Rockville. The band then heads over to Europe in June before embarking on a second stateside leg this fall. Get tickets here.
