Gold Coast producer and songwriter Connor Grant, known as HARLEY GIRL, releases the first glimpse from his upcoming four-track EP, capturing the infectious energy that has defined his rising project.
Blending house and breakbeat influences, ‘do it like that’ is designed for the dancefloor, with pulsating beats and an undeniable groove that invites movement. True to HARLEY GIRL’s creative process—crafting music in his 2018 Hyundai Kona during breaks at his day job—the track embodies a sense of urgency and spontaneity.
“‘do it like that’ is the latest track i’m sharing from my 2018 Hyundai Kona. In all seriousness, my philosophy for this track, and all the stuff I’m working on has been constraint-whether that be time, space, or both. Lately, I find the most exciting ideas come in the 15-minute windows on my laptop in my car between work, over the full days off in total solitude. i started this project about a year ago before I understood what I liked to play out and mix. ‘do it like that’ feels a lot more ‘me’-i love tracks that make you wanna bounce and I feel like this one really does. more to come later this year.”
