Two for the Road is a series in which two artists touring together chat about playing shows, life backstage, and more. The latest installment of the series features Halestorm singer-guitarist Lzzy Hale chatting with I Prevail vocalist Eric Vanlerberghe.
Halestorm and I Prevail are hitting the road together for a co-headlining North American summer tour. Ahead of the outing, Halestorm’s Lzzy Hale and I Prevail’s Eric Vanlerberghe connected via Zoom for Consequence‘s Two for the Road series.

The outing, which features support from Hollywood Undead and Fit for a King, kicks off July 9th in Raleigh, North Carolina, and runs through an August 17th show in Las Vegas. Tickets are available via Ticketmaster or StubHub.
During their conversation (watch above), Hale and Vanlerberghe discussed the first time they experienced each other’s music, with Hale saying she was blown away the first time she saw I Prevail live, enthusiastically remembering that the band “laid waste to that stage.” Vanlerberghe, meanwhile, recalled the first time he heard Halestorm, thinking, “Damn, this girl’s got pipes … and damn, she shreds, too!”
Both Halestorm and I Prevail have been big proponents of mental health awareness, and this time around was no different, as Hale and Vanlerberghe each spoke about the importance of not stigmatizing mental health issues.
Further along in the conversation, Hale and Vanlerberghe each gave an update on where things stand on new music from each band, including discussing the two acts’ recent collaborative single “can u see me in the dark?” The two singers also shared some hilarious real-life “Spinal Tap” moments that happened to each of them onstage.
