The heartbeat of Gryffin‘s artistry is growing stronger after he announced a new album, PULSE, which he said will usher in a “new era” of his artistry.
“PULSE is a return to why I fell in love with dance music in the first place, and this is the most creatively inspired I’ve felt in years,” the chart-topping producer and guitarist said in a post on X. “Thank you for the endless support, and welcome to the new era.”
If the music in today’s teaser is any indication, fans can expect a more club-oriented, throbbing sound with higher tempos than Gryffin’s dance-pop of yesteryear. That lends credence to his recent reveal of an unexpected collaboration alongside Dutch dance music icon Armin van Buuren, with whom he said he produced a “banger.” Neither he nor van Buuren, however, has confirmed whether or not the song will appear on PULSE.
PULSE is Gryffin’s third album and first since 2022’s Alive, which came three years after his stunning debut, Gravity. A breakthrough for Gryffin, the lattermost album topped Billboard’s Dance/Electronic Albums chart at the time of its release back in 2019.
Gryffin says PULSE will release in either the spring or summer of 2024. Check out his announcement below.
