Goose has released their latest single, ‘Your Direction,’ offering a compelling preview of their forthcoming album, Everything Must Go, set to arrive on April 25 via No Coincidence Records.
‘Your Direction’ is a masterclass in restraint and emotional depth, opening with the reflective lyric, “I was thinking ‘bout moving in your direction.” The track takes its time, unfolding over a laid-back groove reminiscent of Southern California’s sun-soaked soundscapes. Layered percussion, an acoustic-driven melody, and occasional bursts of soulful organ create a breezy yet introspective atmosphere.
Rick Mitarotonda says of the song:
“There’s a fundamental tension in there. Between taking risks and going for something, and all the voices and forces that hold you back from doing it.”
Originally conceived years ago, ‘Your Direction’ finally found its home on Everything Must Go. ‘Your Direction’ is out today. Everything Must Go, is set to arrive on April 25 via No Coincidence Records.
