Goose has unveiled ‘Lead Up,’ the second single from their highly anticipated new album, Everything Must Go, set for release on April 25 via No Coincidence Records.

‘Lead Up’ immediately sets a brooding tone, opening with a distant howl that slices through the quiet. The song leans into an ethereal atmosphere, its melancholic yet slightly surreal lyrics—”oftentimes we worry about the things we waste”—painting a picture of introspection and emotional weight. A steady snare drum builds the tension, leading to an explosive chorus before giving way to guitarist Rick Mitarotonda’s searing, distorted solo. The track then recedes into the haunting echoes of the chorus—“I wish I could take it all away”—bringing the song to a soft yet resonant close.

Mitarotonda says of ‘Lead Up’:

“The record is a collection — of songs, of characters, and of different places and times in our lives. It was a way for me to explore feelings that I didn’t really understand at the time. Sometimes as you get older it becomes valuable reflecting on things from that time in your life, and how pure and unadulterated expressions can be then.”

‘Lead Up’ is out now.
