Fresh off six Grammy nominations, Jon Batiste is taking his music to the people.
The former “Late Show with Stephen Colbert” bandleader just announced his 24-concert ‘Uneasy Tour: Purifying the Airwaves for the People’ that will send him to venues all over North America in support of his recently released album “World Music Radio” from February through April 2024.
That includes a headlining gig at New York City’s Beacon Theatre on Tuesday, March 19.
“For my first solo run I wanted to play in smaller venues and curate experiences that let me really feel the people while I play,” the 37-year-old Louisiana native shared with The Associated Press.
“Think of these 24 shows less as a tour and more as a series of 24 not to be missed experiences, each being one-of-a-kind.”
And if you want to make sure you don’t miss these “not to be missed experiences,” you can scoop up tickets for the winter/spring tour as soon as today.
Although inventory isn’t available on Ticketmaster until Friday, Nov. 17, fans who want to ensure they have tickets ahead of time can purchase on sites like Vivid Seats before tickets are officially on sale.
Vivid Seats is a secondary market ticketing platform, and prices may be higher or lower than face value, depending on demand.
They have a 100% buyer guarantee that states your transaction will be safe and secure and will be delivered before the event.

Jon Batiste 2024 Grammy Awards
This year, the five-time Grammy winner Batiste received another six (!) Grammy Award nominations.
The recognition came for his sonically diverse 2023 album “World Music Radio.”
Nominations include Album of the Year, Record of the Year for “Worship,” Song of the Year for “Butterfly,” Best Jazz Performance, Best American Roots Performance and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for “Candy Necklace” with Lana Del Rey.
Jon Batiste new music
On Aug. 18, Batiste dropped his seventh studio album “World Music Radio.”
The wide-ranging record spans 21 tracks and shows off the talented musician’s gift to create songs that get listeners on their feet in no time.
For us, the highlight was “Worship,” which is equal parts inspirational and jubilant, creating a whole new sound in the process.
Other standout bops include the romantic slow dance of “My Heart,” the endlessly catchy “CALL NOW (504 305-8269) and the lo-fi charms of the country-fried “Master Power.”
And, truth be told, Batiste is probably the only artist to ever collab with Lana Del Rey, Kenny G and Lil Wayne on the same album.
Want to hear for yourself?
