FKA twigs Pulls Out of Coachella Due to Visa Issues

FKA twigs announced on Friday night that she is canceling her remaining April tour dates across North America, including her appearance at Coachella, due to ongoing visa complications. The news comes just weeks after she attempted to reschedule her headline shows for the “Eusexua Tour” because of similar visa issues, but it appears those efforts were unsuccessful.

The impacted dates include her sets at Coachella and Mexico City’s AXE Ceremonia, plus her standalone shows in San Francisco, New York, and Toronto. As of now, twigs is still set to perform in Chicago in June, following her appearance at Primavera Sound in Barcelona.

“im devastated to share the news that due to ongoing visa issues i am not able to see through any of my scheduled tour dates for the remainder of april across north america, including ceremonia and coachella,” twigs wrote on social media. “it pains me to say this because i am so excited to bring you a creation that i have poured my soul into and i believe is amongst my strongest work.” These upcoming shows were set to be twigs’ first headlining shows in North America since 2019.

“i know this news impacts so many of you that have already made plans and spent money in order to see these shows… back to you all with more updates as soon as i have them.”

FKA twigs previously disclosed that her production team failed to “fill out the correct paperwork in a timely manner for us to have our visas to come to the U.S.A. and perform.”

According to twigs, fans looking for a refund should “refer to [their] point of purchase for details and refund information.” She has also assured that she plans to get these shows rescheduled as soon as possible.

EUSEXUA was released this January via Atlantic Records/Young. Twigs most recently dropped the music video for “Childlike Things,” which featured North West both on the track and in the visual.
