Empire of the Sun has announced a 2025 North American tour.
The Ask That God tour is set to kick off in Oregon in February, the first of 23 confirmed dates at historic venues like Denver’s Red Rocks Amphitheatre, Berkeley’s The Greek Theatre, and New York’s Brooklyn Mirage.
The North American leg follows a series of recent Empire of the Sun shows around the world, including in Mexico and Sydney, Brisbane, and Perth in their native Australia. The tour is supporting a new album from the band led by Luke Steele and Nick Littlemore—Ask That God debuted in late July 2024 in the top five of Billboard’s Top Dance/Electronic Albums chart.
“Ask That God is an album we searched for and were thankfully blessed with,” Littlemore shared in a statement at the time. “We are nothing more than conduits, gathering experience and finding what is meant for the Empire to find.”
Beyond a new record, Empire of the Sun is also celebrating 10 years since the release of “We Are Mirage,” a well-loved Eric Prydz remix of the band’s hit “We Are The People” that blends the track with Prydz’s own “Mirage.” To mark the anniversary (in part), they released the compilation We Are The People (Reimagined) on December 13th, gathering new edits from ARTBAT, Adam Sellouk, and southstar.
Over the course of their career, Empire of the Sun has received multiple Platinum certifications, eight ARIA Awards, two APRA Awards, and an APRA Billions Award. They’ve also worked with countless music legends, including Fleetwood Mac’s Lindsey Buckingham and multiple members of David Bowie’s band from the Blackstar sessions.
