There were two very VIP guests at the 33rd Elton John AIDS Foundation Oscars viewing party Sunday.
The Rocket Man’s sons — Zachary, 14, and Elijah, 12 — along with his husband, David Furnish, made a rare appearance at the annual affair held at the Pacific Design Center in West Hollywood.
The boys wore blacks suits as they posed between their proud dads and even accompanied Furnish, 62, onstage.
Earlier in the night, John, 77, was in attendance at the Dolby Theatre for the Academy Awards, where he was up for Best Original Song for “Never Too Late” — a tune he co-wrote with Brandi Carlile for his documentary of the same name. But the Oscar, presented by Mick Jagger, went to “El Mal” from “Emilia Perez.”
John’s viewing party is always a hot ticket on Oscar night, and this year’s bash — co-hosted by Sheryl Lee Ralph, Jean Smart, Neil Patrick Harris and his husband David Burtka — was no different.
Among the star-studded guests were Megan Thee Stallion, Donatella Versace, Camila Cabello, Paris Jackson, Elizabeth Hurley, Derek Hough, Michael Urie, Sophia Bush, Heidi Klum and Zooey Deschanel.
And they were treated to a performance by Grammy-winning artist Chappell Roan.
During her set, the singer, 27, delivered her hits such as “Hot to Go!” and “Good Luck, Babe!” while also covering John’s 1970 breakout hit “Your Song.”
Before performing the latter — which she called “one of my favorite songs of all time” — she said, “It’s kind of scary singing it in front of the person who wrote it.”
And she gave it a special dedication: “I dedicate it to my parents — they’re here tonight … I dedicate this song to them because they introduced me to Elton John. This goes out to them, and obviously, Elton, this is yours.”
John later joined Roan for a duet on another of his classics, 1974’s “Don’t Let the Sun Go Down on Me.”
John, who recently said he lost his eyesight after battling an infection, then also sat in for “Pink Pony Club,” with Roan placing a pink sparkly cowboy hat on him.
“I would just like to say thank you, Elton, for believing in ‘Pink Pony Club,’ ” she said. “He played it first y’all. And I’m so grateful that you would have me here. You have sacrificed so much for the queer community, and you made it so I could be the artist I can be.”
