Ed Sheeran dropped his brand new music video, ‘Azizam’, where he has seen exploring the Persian culture. The music video for this track has been directed by the Iranian-American director, Saman Kesh. At the beginning of the video, Ed is seen struggling to write lyrics. And then he thrust into a Persian wedding.
As he entered the Persian wedding, everyone ran and jumped towards him and then started planting kisses on the cheeks of the artist. The music video kickstarts in a whole different way that makes audiences hooked to it. After that, he hits the dance floor wearing a turquoise colored bomber jacket. He danced among the Persian wedding guests and witnessed the particular culture of Persian weddings.

He then goes back to the music studio, where the Iranian singer, Googooshis seen and tells Ed to ‘write a hit song’. The whole presentation of the soundtrack is quite innovative. And that is what helped him to gain more attention from the music enthusiasts. In less than 15 hours, the video has gotten more than 800k views on the video. With each passing time, the video is reaching out to more audiences and influencing them to the core.
For ‘Azizam’, Ed has come up with an enthusiastic song. The upbeat music along with the mind-blowing lyrics have made the song even more brilliant in every aspect. He dropped the song earlier this month and now he has offered the music video of it too. The title of the track translates to ‘my beloved’ or ‘my dear’. On an Instagram post, he has ‘I wrote Azizam after Ilya suggested trying out making music inspired by his Persian heritage and culture,” Sheeran wrote on Instagram when the song was released’. He even added ‘It was like opening a door to a completely new and exciting world. I loved how a lot of rhythms, scales, melodies and instruments were different but similar to the Irishtrad music I had grown up with’.
Regarding the music video, Ed asked the producer, Ilya Salmanzadeh who said ‘you gotta do it as a Persian wedding, that’s the best way to showcase all of the culture in a video’. He even shared ‘I found it was so similar in ways to the Irish weddings I grew up going to, but obviously so different in other ways,” Sheeran wrote, adding, “Much like the rhythms and instrumentation of the song, I find our two cultures have so much intertwined similarities. But underneath it all is love and pride’.
