Rap star Drake made a surprise appearance at the end of Kai Cenat’s Streamer University, where he hailed the program’s students as the next generation of mainstream celebrities.

Kai Cenat’s Streamer University was a massive success, drawing over 630,000 viewers at its peak and garnering a total of 1.4 million hours watched from May 22 – May 25, 2025.

The event was never short on action and hilarious moments, with clips from Streamer U. taking over social media over a four-day period (although some of these moments were admittedly more chaotic than others).

Some streamers who were accepted to the University saw major growth in their own statistics, with broadcasters like Danny Bans gaining 2,600 average viewers from his previous 70 before the program.

At the end of the event, students gathered together for an awards ceremony, where none other than Kendrick Lamar’s number one enemy, Drake, gave a commencement speech for the ‘graduates.’

In his speech, Drake praised Streamer University and predicted that online content creators will be the next big thing in the entertainment industry.

The rapper referenced the first-ever hidden-camera reality TV show, Candid Camera, which aired in 1948 and was met with both awe and criticism from viewers at the time.

He also pointed out how reality TV stars like Kim Kardashian were once part of what was considered a “shunned profession” — but now, they’re some of the most celebrated figures in the modern world.

“I say all that to say, that the individuals who attended this program and that are sitting and watching this video, are the next shift in media,” Drake said. “You all have the capability to take things farther than any of us ever imagined.

“I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again; you are the future.”

To Drake, these streamers are on the cusp of a major shift in entertainment — and given how names like MrBeast and Kai Cenat have already broken into the mainstream media in major ways, it’s not hard to see why the rapper is making this prediction.

Kai Cenat, in particular, boasts a revolving door of celebrity guests on his streams on a regular basis, being featured in commercials for brands like State Farm, T-Mobile, Chime and more.

And MrBeast is gearing up for seasons two and three of his Amazon Prime game show, Beast Games, along with an upcoming role in Netflix’s Love, Death + Robots Season 4.

In fact, Kai claimed that major platforms like Netflix reached out to him to broadcast his Streamer University — but he needs some time to recover before its next iteration, saying the massive, live-streamed project took a toll on his mental health.
